My dog and I are sitting looking out at a lagoon on Hilton Head Island. . . .she's one lucky dog! I made some treats to ease car-sickness before we left and guess what. . .they really worked! Jade was calm for the entire drive. I thought I'd share them on here.
Ginger Dog Cookies
2 1/2 Cups whole wheat flour
1/2 Cup butter, melted
1 T sugar
2 1/2 T ground ginger
1/2 t salt
1 egg
1/2 Cup skim milk
Mix together all ingredients. The dough is very easy to work with and you only need to flour the rolling pin. Cut out shapes and bake at 350 degrees F for at least 30 minutes or until crunchy. Turn the oven off and let them dry out. They won't keep more than a couple days, so you can freeze some too (that's what I did).
